Abstract Statement
I am an abstract expressionist artist with my main medium being watercolour. I put on canvas/paper what I feel, how I experience the world around me, the things I see, and the people I love.
I’ve studied with some amazing mentors along my artistic journey. Starting with Carol Cooper and continuing with William “Skip” Lawrence. I’ve also studied with Christopher “Toph” Schink, Alex Powers, Katherine Chang Liu, and Fran Larson.
My art has been in many local, regional, and national juried shows, and has also been featured in Palette Magazine and other local, national, and international magazines. My art is included in private collections in in Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, Michigan, California, Australia, Canada, New York, Switzerland, Italy, and Turkey.
When I’m not painting, I’m a musician in a local English Handbell group, and I also make beautifully coloured shawls. I’m a “Bubbie” to three amazing grandchildren, and momma to two wonderful Cavalier King Charles dogs Hartley and Jasper.
